About PRVault

PRVault is a workout tracking app for iOS that helps you log strength training workouts, track personal records, and monitor your progress over time. The app is designed with a privacy-first approach: it works entirely on your device without requiring an account, internet connection, or any form of registration.

Information We Collect

We do not collect any personal information. PRVault has no servers, no analytics services, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party tracking code of any kind.

Local Data Storage

All workout data you enter into PRVault — including exercises, sets, reps, weights, personal records, and workout history — is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.

App preferences (such as your preferred units, theme settings, and notification preferences) are stored in UserDefaults on your device. This is the only system API we access that is covered by Apple's required reason API disclosure (reason code CA92.1: accessing user defaults to read and write app-specific settings).

You can delete all of your data at any time by deleting the app from your device.

iCloud Sync

PRVault offers optional iCloud sync through Apple's CloudKit framework, which allows your workout data to sync across your own Apple devices using your private iCloud account.

• iCloud sync is enabled by default but can be turned off in the app's settings.
• Synced data is stored in your private iCloud database — only you can access it.
• We (the developers) have no access to your iCloud data. Apple manages the storage and encryption.
• If you disable iCloud sync, all data remains stored locally on your device only.
• iCloud sync is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and your iCloud storage terms.

Apple HealthKit Integration

PRVault includes an optional integration with Apple HealthKit. This feature requires your explicit permission and is never activated without your consent.

What we read from HealthKit

• Body mass (weight): If you grant read permission, PRVault can import your most recent bodyweight measurements from Apple Health to use for bodyweight-relative strength calculations and tracking.

What we write to HealthKit

• Workouts: If you grant write permission, PRVault can save your completed strength training workouts to Apple Health, including workout duration, estimated active calories burned, and exercise metadata (exercise names, set counts, and total volume).
• Active energy burned: An estimated calorie burn is calculated for each workout and saved alongside the workout record.

Important HealthKit details

• HealthKit data is never transferred off your device by PRVault.
• HealthKit data is never used for advertising or marketing purposes.
• HealthKit data is never sold, shared with, or disclosed to any third party.
• You can revoke HealthKit permissions at any time via the Apple Health app or iOS Settings.
• HealthKit integration is entirely optional; the app functions fully without it.

Third-Party Services

PRVault does not integrate any third-party services, SDKs, or libraries that collect data. There are no:

• Analytics platforms (no Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, etc.)
• Crash reporting services (no Crashlytics, Sentry, etc.)
• Advertising networks or ad SDKs
• Social media SDKs or tracking pixels
• Third-party authentication providers

Network Requests

PRVault does not make network requests to any servers we own or operate. The only network activity that may occur is Apple's own iCloud sync (if you have iCloud sync enabled), which is handled entirely by the operating system and Apple's infrastructure.

Data Security

Your workout data is protected by the security measures built into iOS and your device, including:

• iOS Data Protection encryption for on-device storage
• Your device passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID
• Apple's end-to-end encryption for iCloud data (when sync is enabled)

Since we do not operate any servers or collect any data, there is no risk of a data breach on our end.

Children's Privacy

PRVault does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since the app does not require an account, does not collect any data, and does not transmit information to external servers, it does not knowingly or unknowingly gather data from children.

The app is suitable for users of all ages as it contains no inappropriate content, social features, or in-app purchases that could be harmful to minors.

Your Rights

Because PRVault stores all data locally on your device (and optionally in your private iCloud account), you have full control over your data at all times:

• Access: All your data is visible within the app.
• Deletion: Delete the app to remove all local data. Manage iCloud data through your iCloud account settings.
• Portability: Your data stays with your Apple device and Apple account.
• Restriction: You can disable iCloud sync and HealthKit access at any time through the app settings or iOS Settings.

Since we never receive your data, there is nothing for us to delete, modify, or provide to you upon request. You are in complete control.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

Any significant changes to our data practices (for example, if we were to add analytics or data collection in the future) would be clearly communicated through an app update and a revised privacy policy.
